Discharged At Last

Been pestering doctor for the past few days, finally doctor agreed to discharge my father. He has been warded for 15 days due to PRP. Although his skin condition is getting better but the feet still swelling and the liver function is still abnormal.

Only a day after discharged from hospital, he started to not wanted to apply cream according to the instruction given by the doctor. If warded, nurses will check on him two hourly to make sure that he applies cream. But at home, he sometimes refused to do that. Need to continuously persuade him to do so. Hopefully, his skin problems is under control with Neotigason.

Still need to follow up and consistently check on the liver.

Bercakap VS Menghafal

Salah satu punca pelajar kita tidak dapat bercakap atau berkomunikasi dengan baik dalam bahasa kedua adalah disebabkan kebanyakan pelajar akan menghafal apa yang hendak diucapkan sebelum mengucapkannya. Apabila belajar bercakap dalam bahasa kedua, ibu bapa berharap dalam masa sehari sahaja anak-anak mereka berupaya bercakap dalam bahasa kedua sama ada Bahasa Inggeris atau Bahasa Melayu. Apa yang berlaku sebenarnya pelajar menghafal apa yang hendak diucap daripada mengucapkannya menggunakan kemahiran berbahasa sendiri. Saksikanlah video di bawah oleh Antonio Graceffo

Health & Age

Seeing old man in the hospital without anyone, have been a week now no signs of his children coming to visit him. Yet, he is telling everyone in the ward that he has two children and there are staying in Sungkai, not far from Ipoh actually.

Y esterday, he made a mess in the ward. He will use the cup to shit or urine. He is wearing adult's diapers but he refused to shit or urine in it. Instead, he will take off the diaper, and pee on the floor. He used the container full with shit and try to knock on the grill. The shit is verywhere and the smell walao.

The nurses have no choice then to take him down and bathe him. As the two nurses are small size, they have hard time to move him from bed to wheelchair. He scolded them and said that they are not qualified for the job and they are BODOH aka STUPID.

Now, they have move him to the other ward...........

Kerapuhan Dasar Pendidikan

Begitu banyak isu berkenaan dengan remaja dan pendidikan dikemukakan dan diperbincangkan dalam pelbagai media.
1. Isu PPSMI
2.Isu Mat Rempit hendak ditukarkan nama kepada Samseng Jalan Raya
3. Isu bilangan mata pelajaran yang boleh diambil dalam peperiksaan SPM

Sebelum sesuatu dasar berkenaan pendidikan atau apa-apa sahaja dasar yang ingin dilaksanakan akan dikaji dengan teliti, barulah dilaksanakan. Bukan daripada bukti kajian yang dibuat cukup dan kukuh menjadi asas kepda sesuatu dasar diimplemen seperti dasar pendidikan.
Mengapa perlu dilaksanakan untuk satu jangka waktu, baru mendapati bahawa sebenarnya dasar itu mendatangkan implikasi yang pelbagai seperti Pensijilan Terbuka pada tahun 2000

PENSIJILAN TERBUKA – SPM 2000

• Para pengguna keputusan SPM tidak memerlukan maklumat tentang pangkat sijil, sebaliknya memberikan tumpuan kepada pencapaian kelompok-kelompok mata pelajaran yang releven mengikut keperluan khusus pengguna

• Pensijilan terbuka sepenuhnya akan diberikan kepada pelajar asalkan lulus mana-mana satu mata pelajaran

• Pensijilan terbuka bersyarat akan diberikan dengan syarat kelulusan tertentu (atas sebab-sebab dasar dan sebagainya)

• Pensijilan atas merit mata pelajaran dan bukannya kerana syarat kelompok mata pelajaran

• Tidak memeringkatkan pelajar dalam penganugerahan sijil

PRINSIP PENSIJILAN TERBUKA SPM 2000

• Memenuhi hasrat dan selaras dengan kehendak dasar kurikulum dan pendidikan kebangsaan
• Mengekalkan pengiktirafan sijil sama ada dalam atau luar negeri
• Mengekalkan standard (benchmark) mata pelajaran
• Keterbukaan dan fleksibal
• Mata pelajaran tidak dikelompokkan dalam kumpulan-kumpulan elektif
• Mata pelajaran SPMV kini akan diletakkan di bawah satu senarai skema SPM
• Senarai dan kod mata pelajaran SPM dan SPMV masa kini akan dikekalkan

PERATURAN PEPERIKSAAN

• Pengendalian peperiksaan masa kini akan dikekalkan
• Syarat layak mengambil peperiksaan dikekalkan
• Kaedah memperbaiki keputusan mata pelajaran tertentu secara 'patching' yang mula dilaksanakan dalam peperiksaan SPM (Julai) 1998 akan diteruskan dengan syarat menduduki dan memenuhi syarat pensijilan kali yang pertama, atau dengan mengulang peperiksaan semula

Apakah rasional dan prinsip dalam pelaksanaan dasar ini?
Sebenarnya, kalau benar-benar sesuatu dasar pendidikan itu hendak dilaksanakan, lakukanlah dengan penyelidikan dan melibatkan guru-guru(mendapatkan maklumat dan pandangan daripada guru-guru berkenaan dengan sesuatu dasar itu)kerana merekalah yang paling rapat dan mengetahui situasi dan masalah yang dihadapi oleh sekolah.
Kalau didapati sesuatu dasar itu tidak perlu dilaksanakan, jadi tidak perlu dilaksanakan kerana mungkin kebanyakan sekolah di negara kita belum bersedia dengan perubahan yang akan dilaksanakan. Dasar pendidikan kita terlalu banyak, kejap ini kejap itu. Walaupun perubahan bertujuan membawa kebaikan, adakah sekolah kita, guru kita, sistem pendidikan, pelajar kita, ibu bapa kita sudah bersedia?
JURANG perbezaan antara sekolah di negara kita masih begitu besar. Masalah DISIPLIN pelajar makin merosot dan membimbangkan.
Sepatutnya perkara-perkara di atas harus ditangani dahulu? Betul tak?

Budaya Mencarut

Hari ini, datang seorang pakcik berumur 73 tahun dengan penyakit kulit yang serius. Oleh sebab kulitnya sangat gatal, dia tak berhenti-henti menggarunya sambil menjerit dan mencarut. Rasanya semua orang memang tahu mencarut cuma sama ada kita melakukannya atau tidak.
Mencarut bukan sahaja dengan mulut sahaja dengan bahasa isyarat pun kita boleh dikatakan mencarut.
Terkejut mendengar pakcik ini mencarut dalam bahasa Hokkien(pakcik Melayu). Dari mana pakcik ini belajar? Dari tv ke? Tapi, tak pernah pun tv mencarut, kalau ada pun disensor.
Apa boleh buat, kat Parlimen pun Menteri dan Wakil Rakyat pun kuat mencarut.
Bukankah pada tahun 1983 kempen Kepimpinan Melalui Teladan dilancarkan?
Bapa borek anak rintik, ketam menyuruh anaknya berjalan betul

the back is clear but the skin looks like burning skin
need to apply white paraffin two hourly to prevent the skin dry that cause itchiness

the swollen feet have subsided after session of massaging and elevated
but condition will back to square one if the feet are on the ground

Neighbour's Orchid

Never Says NO

It's hard to say No to someone who is close to us. Although we are busy, stress and don't want to get involve in other things that are not our priority. Somehow, I am doing all that because I don't to have any conflicts in the family members. I try to do whatever I can do satisfied everyone, but then again you can make everyone happy.
Learning to say No is too difficult to me. That's why a lot of people keep telling me that I have to say NO.

No to my friends
No to my colleagues
No to my siblings
No to my superior

I like to help people if I have the ability to do so, but sometimes I don't have the time to that or when that's not as important as what I have to do right now.
Haven't be able to say NO has giving me a lot of problems and troubles. Back to square one like always.

Psoriasis Triggers

There is a man who was warded around my father at the hospital. The first thing he said to father was "uncle, you are so lucky, how come they warded you? I have to make complained till the Department Head only they admitted me". Then, this man in his 40th start to talk a lot about himself. He said he didn't have much education, he only studied for 3 years then started to work. He is a cook for many years, till recently because of his skin problems that he can work anymore, people feel scare seeing his lesion skin. He is having psoriasis

He said I am tell you the truth, although I am not educated but I know what is right and wrong, what a person can or cannot do. Then he said, one day he caught his wife with a man in the bed. The man hit him on the head. He said he has all the proof, CCTV, photos and his twins( 10 years old girl) were there too. Because of that, his has the skin problems.

Yesterday, his wife visited him. I heard from my father that we quarreled and the man told his wife to be ready as she will be jailed for what she did. The wife wants the custody of the twins and pleaded to the husband not to fight for that.

After that, the man didn't say anything. He kept quiet for a long time. Don't how they are going to solve this problems involving the chidlren. Another broken family.

Kepentingan Kosa Kata

Penguasaan kosa kata yang luas amat penting untuk menjamin pelajar dapat menulis dengan baik. Apabila sesuatu tajuk karangan mempunyai perkataan atau kosa kata yang kurang biasa digunakan, maka pelajar akan menghadapi masalah mengetahui maksud atau kehendak tajuk.

Kosa kata ini kadang-kadang menyebabkan pelajar tidak berani menulis tajuk yang sebenarnya mudah tetapi nampak seperti susah disebabkan kosa kata yang digunakan kurang difahami oleh pelajar-pelajar bukan Melayu. Mereka mengetahui maksudnya dalam bahasa Cina tetapi tidak tahu kosa katanya dalam bahasa Melayu

Antaranya seperti :
sumbang mahram/muhrim
mat rempit
Rakan Muda
Wawasan
pembasmian -- kalau guna kosa kata menghapuskan(pelajar lebih memahami)
gigolo -- kalau gunakan kosa kata bapa ayam mungkin mereka memahaminya
memboloskan diri --melarikan diri

Knowing How I Feel

Sometimes, some people claimed that they know how you feel and what you have been through and you are busy. They even asking others not to bother you because you are busy and you have important things in hands that needed your full attention.

In the other hand, he or she asking you for help knowing very well your situation. I was puzzled. What? Make no sense at all, right?

Sometimes, or many times, we just knowing but not doing what we know!
